CLIMBING TREES is soon to go into production and as well as cast, we are also looking for people to fill vital crew roles behind the camera.

LIGHTING GRIP

The succesfull applicant will be expected to:

Assist the Director of Photography in all aspects of lighting a shot/scene- including positioning, fetching and setting up equipment, sourcing power supplies, cable tidying and handling.

Be organised, methodical, responsible, reliable and logical as well as creative.

Contribute to creative discussions pertinent to the setting up of any particular shot.

Have a working knowledge and/or interest in cinematography.

This role is perfect for anybody with experience of a similar role or with a keen interest in the process of film making.  Own transport is desirable but not essential.

Reliability is a MUST.

Succesful applicants will be invited to an interview (date tbc).

SCRIPT SUPERVISOR/ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR (Paid position)

The succesful applicant will be expected to:

Assist the Director in all aspects of film making.

Be responsible for keeping an up to date shot list and scene list on them at all times.

Be organised, methodical, responsible, reliable and logical as well as creative.

Be able to keep clear and concise notes, either handwritten or otherwise.

Be responsbile for the continuity in the production of the film and keep a photographic and written log of prop positions, character appearances, lighting, line changes etc. to ensure minimal mistakes.

Be responsible for ensuring all cast and crew members are ready and able to start filming according to a tight schedule.

Have an excellent knowledge of the material in full and what is to be filmed on any particular day.

Contribute to creative discussions pertinent to the production of the film.


This role is perfect for anybody with experience of a similar role or with a keen interest in the process of film making.  Own transport is desirable but not essential.

Applicant must be able to commit to the following dates:   April 20th, 23rd, 27th, 30th.  May 7th, 17th, 18th and 19th. PLUS a maximum of two weekend dates for auditions (tbc)

Full terms of payment will be present in employment contract and disclosed at interview.

SOUND RECORDIST

The succesfull applicant will be expected to:

Assist the Director of Photography and Director in all aspects of sound recording and take responsibility for the clear capturing of dialogue.

Be physically strong and able to hold a boom pole and attached microphone still and in one position for periods of time.

Have good hearing and have a good understanding of what constitutes usable audio.

Be organised, methodical, responsible, reliable and logical as well as creative.

This role is perfect for anybody with experience of a similar role or with a keen interest in the process of film making.  Own transport is desirable but not essential.

Reliability is a MUST.

Succesful applicants will be invited to an interview (date tbc).

RUNNER

The succesfull applicant will be expected to:

Assist the Production of the film in various ways from ensuring the cast are looked after in between takes, to being on hand to featch equipment, materials and refreshments for cast and crew.

This role could laso extend to stepping in to a different role on teh crew and so a keen eye and attentive perosnality to the process happenign around them is a must have quality.

Reliability is a MUST.
