Matthew R. Ford has recently graduated from Birmingham City University with an MA. in Creative Writing, excelling in writing for the Stage and Screen.

However, Matthew can deliver written content, to a deadline on spec in almost any field and/or format.

As well as his original screenplays; ‘Losing Innocence’, ‘Hurt’, ‘Redundant’ and ‘The Driving Instructor’, Matthew has also written various theatre pieces for Recre8, a Drama-based psychology company whom he is regularly asked to write and direct for.

Matthew has been approached by Kingsley Pilgrim to adapt his debut novel, ‘Paintshark’, into a feature length screenplay and discussions are ongoing to hopefully start in the new year.  You can find out more about the book and it’s author HERE.

‘At the Centre of Nothing’, a creative memoir detailing Matthew’s time within the clubbing world and in particular, his time at one of Birmingham’s most iconic venues, The Q Club. Currently in draft format and formed part of his MA. in creative Writing portfolio.

Having always harboured a passion for creative writing and for film, Matthew R. Ford formed Pretty Hate Productions in 2011 (incorporated as a Limited company in 2013) as a creative outlet for his and other people’s original ideas.

‘Secrets or Lies’ is a short story created in response to A.S. Byatt’s critically acclaimed 1990 Booker Prize winning novel ‘Possession’.  The piece formed part of his MA. original portfolio of work and you can read the original, un-edited version by clicking the link here >>> Secrets or Lies.pdf.
